| Hand Every sculpture and functional art piece on this website has been made by hand, one at a time. A very good friend suggested I create a solid steel hand to symbolize the "one of a kind, hand made" credo of Craig Sherril Studio. This welded hand is formed from 3/4" steel plate. Each segment is plasma cut , deburred, and carefully welded by hand. While welding , this sculpture gets so hot that I have to wear special heat reflective gloves to avoid cooking my own hands ! (I found out the hard way on the first hand I welded....) The first 3 hands sold quickly, Number 4 is mounted on the solid Walnut base in a "palm up" position. Number 5 is mounted upright.
