New Beginning

She made up her mind, absolutely set a goal

A balanced life is priority, no longer tied to a pole

Take care of her body, her spirit, her soul

More time with her family, her friends, make life whole

I designed and created New Beginning for Sherril's 50th birthday. She had been telling me for years that once she became 50, her priorities would change. We had spent many years building our business at the expense of our personal health, our relationships with family and friends, and the nurturing of our bodies and spirits. I am proud of Sherril's commitment to her decision, and we both have learned what's really important in life. We now strive for balance. This also inspired another of our sculptures, "Life Needs Balance"
